Anxiety is the result of our brains working overtime and magnifying small issues into major problems. This article will help you learn to relieve anxiety naturally with meditation.

Nervousness, tension and the fear you experience, results in anxiety. Anxiety causes unhappiness and is brought about in many ways, some of which are:

1) Being mortally afraid of failing in an exam even though you have prepared for it. 2) Waiting for the results to appear. 3) Making conversation with unknown people endlessly. 4) Conjuring up the worst scenario when you are undergoing a slight fever.

Anxiety is created when you experience one or more of the above causes. You cannot ignore this “feeling,” even though it is not “real.” Many depressed patients put their problems down to anxiety, which can be cured with meditation.

How can one get rid of Anxiety? Start by investigating every activity that you are involved in. You should be able to pinpoint where you are going wrong. Is it necessary for you to be undergoing such stress? This mode of self-searching will help you learn a lot of things. You may be surprised with the numerous activities that take up your time. Is what you are doing absolutely necessary? You will probably be stunned at the amount of stuff you are trying to cope with. By giving this a lot of thought, you have begun the process of self-introspection, which itself, is a form of meditation. Slowly, over a period, you will be able to identify why you are anxious, due to meditation.

Make light of problems to succeed. Fill your body with positive vibrations and meditation. This will ease your tension and help you relax. Learn to take things in your stride and do not lose courage. Instruct your brain to work for you positively, so that your anxiety levels diminish.

If you are determined to cure problems related to anxiety, cultivate awareness. Shift headquarters if you are getting overly restless. Move in with your mom or dear friends if you can, or travel to a religious site. Change of atmosphere can make you ease your anxiety.

On no account, should you use pills or other types of medication to try and find solace. Your brain is unable to perform normally, due to temporary feelings of anxiety, which cloud the thinking. If you hone in on your breathing exercises you will be able to make your brain come alive again with meditation. This in turn, will dispel anxiety and let you function as an energetic, normal human being again.

My name is Ronen David. In 2000, I was serving as an operational company commander in the Judea and Samaria area in Israel when I had my first psychotic episode while. I had been as an ordinary family man, an academic and an exemplary commander. That psychotic episode changed my life. Until that time, I had taken everything for granted, I would carry out every task in the best way and without additional thought; but after that psychotic episode, I was a wreck. I had to pick up the pieces and continue with my life.

A year later, I suffered from another psychotic episode. My wife left me and we divorced. Once again, I was eager to pick up the pieces and start a new life. Half a year later, I met an amazing woman whom I married. I rehabilitated my status at work, I began to fight for my lost respect, and I published a book in Hebrew titled Psycho Bimbo. (This was also released in English under the title Psychosis. This is my autobiography, and it gives a plastic and profound description of my disorder and the resulting hospitalization. I then found myself leading a battle against the stigma of mental illness, I began appearing in the media, I wrote articles and was recruited to advocate on behalf of human rights.

Many people have asked me how I was able to carry on after having a psychotic episode, how I handled it, how I was able to start a family, and how I moved forward while keeping my head high. This book was born as a result of my need to help people to learn from how I coped. The book is intended for all those people who have a personal or professional interest in psychosis.

In the following chapters, you will find a lot of information on coping with psychosis. Almost all of the material is derived from my own experience and from those or people who shared their stories with me. The book is divided into two parts. The first part is dedicated to diagnosis; the second part is dedicated to recovery and maintaining a lifestyle that is as normal as possible. The book defines psychosis, its triggers, causes,, hospitalization, post-psychotic depression, disability, treatment, prevention, recovery, relationships, stigmas, individuality, and lessons.

Please take into account that the book is based on my personal experiencee, the experience of hundreds of people and their families who have turned to me, and on my own reading. Top 10 Tips For Eating Disorder Recovery – Self Acceptance, Health & Well Being

I. Work with a treatment team consisting of a therapist, nutritionist, physician and otherprofessionals, if at all possible. Also, seeks out some of the many wonderful self help programs available to assist you in recovery.

Treatment by a team of qualified professionals who specialize in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and/or compulsive overeating is the best course of action to address and recover from disordered eating.

There are highly regarding organizations that offer referrals to treatment professionals available online and by telephone. Consider contacting the National Eating Disorder Association or the Academy of Eating Disorders for a list of professionals who provide treatment in your area. Also, many anorexia, bulimia and BED sufferers and families find that reviewing the online ‘virtual brochures’ offered in the Eating Disorder Specialist Library greatly simplifies their search for treatment.

If your access to professional treatment is limited, also seek out support through organizations such as Overeaters Anonymous, Eating Disorders Anonymous, and local church or community groups designed to provide support for sufferers.

II. Develop self acceptance through practicing compassion toward self.

Also, practice kindness toward yourself and offering unconditional self care and self respect. Refuse to allow your self esteem to be determined by outside factors, but rather find your value in the content of your character and by being the uniquely wonderful person God created you to be.

III. Develop a positive and self nurturing internal dialogue.

Our inner dialogue with ourselves is critical to our recovery and general well being. Learn how to recognize ineffective thoughts and replace these with accurate and uplifting thoughts.

IV. Get treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety and depression

Anxiety disorders such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), generalized anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia, separation anxiety and social phobias are often co-occurring issues. Learn about the symptoms, treatment and etiology of anxiety disorders and recognize the importance of treating these disorders with therapy and possibly medication, when prescribed by a medical doctor.

V. Practice mindfulness and living in the moment.

Mindfulness is the practice of becoming more aware of the present moment, rather than dwelling in the past or projecting into the future. Many find mindfulness techniques helpful in recovery.

VI. Listen to and honor your feelings.

Feelings matter. Our emotions give us valuable information about ourselves and our perceptions of the environment. Developing awareness of feelings and developing skills to tolerate uncomfortable feelings often go hand in hand with recovery.

VII. Eat well and listen to your body’s hunger and fullness signs.

Nutrition is the fuel for our body. Eating disorders often alter what was once a natural and enjoyable relationship with food and our bodies. Learn more about nutrition, intuitive eating and recovery here.

VII. Accept your genetic makeup and appreciate your body.

Body image is our perception of body, not only its appearance, but its functionality, health and purpose. A positive body image is essential to well being and recovery from anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder.

IX. Have a relapse prevention or correction plan.

Learn to recognize the early warning signs of relapse and develop skills and resources to prevent and/or pull oneself out of relapse.

X. Develop faith and trust in God and let go of what you cannot control.

A common trait among sufferers is the obsession with trying to control matters beyond our control. This leads to fear, anxiety and the need to seek comfort inappropriately through disordered eating behaviors.

Faith in a loving, all powerful and just God is the key letting go of the people, places and things that we cannot control. This leads to peace and well-being. The choice is yours alone to make. Go it alone and feel overwhelmed, or open your heart and your mind to God and seek His comfort and guidance in your life.
